Big news. Really big news.
We decided it was time for an upgrade. Our team has been busy making major changes to our web product for the better part of 2015, and we're happy to finally share the results.
So, without further adieu, we proudly present the new and improved version of MURAL!
Here are some of the upgrades you'll enjoy:
...for an overall improved performance. You'll notice the difference right away -- the new version is quicker and lighter. Collaborate in a cleaner, more organized space to keep your work (and your head) free of clutter.
...for more natural navigation. To use Pinch to Zoom, open MURAL in Google Chrome and go to your Account Settings. Adjust your navigation settings from Controls. (Pro Tip: Panning in Trackpad Mode is easier, too.)
...to keep up your momentum. When we heard folks at IDEO say, "It's really easy to get stuff into a mural, but very hard to get it out," we took it to heart. To export information from your stickies, select the notes you want to share, and click "Copy as Text." Then, Paste into the body of an email or a document. Share information from your murals in an instant.
...to work like a pro. For all you designers out there, we've added new shortcuts from well-known design software (think: Adobe). We also added a few of our own, like holding 'C' to draw connectors.
...to work faster without losing performance. We've redesigned our technological architecture so murals have faster loading times and smoother transition. Collaborating is more seamless than ever.
...for getting organized when you're feeling unstructured. Cluster ideas by content with Grid Areas, or use Freeform Areas to structure to your canvas. Areas can be found in the left toolbar under Frameworks.
...for a better-quality experience. All images you add to the new version of MURAL will maintain high resolution. Zoom in without details getting fuzzy.
...to work even better together. See who is following you, and manage the visibility of collaborators' cursors from your avatar.
...to get started in seconds. We're totally psyched about this one. Copy a list or cells of a spreadsheet, and paste it straight into your mural. Each cell or line will appear as its own sticky note. It looks a little something like this:
You'll notice some other improvements as well, like enhanced titles and text boxes.
Once you’ve created a few new murals, we’d love to hear what you think. Just send us an email with your thoughts and first impressions.
Now go make something cool!
