A structured process for capturing and recording experiences
Use this customizable template to capture, record, and organize personal experiences and reflections in a variety of formats. However you choose to build it, keeping a journal is a great way to record important experiences, insights, or information that you can reference and analyze later, whether on your own or with a group.
This LUMA System™ template for journaling makes it easy to collaboratively record an experience with others, so you can focus on recording what you want to remember. Use Mural’s intuitive tools to add images, text, sticky notes, GIFs, and more to the canvas, and share your experiences and insights quickly and easily.
To make the most of the Mural journaling template, choose a central topic or subject area that you’d like to explore, and record your experiences with that topic.
To get started, it’s helpful to have a clear idea of the focus of your study. This will not only keep the central theme clear as you add content, but also help highlight connections or concepts that may be connected, allowing for further analysis.
Once you’ve defined your central theme, choose the best approach for note taking that fits your area of study. This could take the form of a Rose, Thorn, Bud framework, or one where you record your ideas based on sentiment or feedback. (You can also keep it simple and just add sticky notes, and organize them later using tags and filters.)
Add content by uploading or adding photos, GIFS, links, and more, or use sticky notes and drawing features to record your experiences. Add as much as you’d like — with Mural’s infinite canvas, you’ll never run out of space!
To structure a journal of your experiences related to a specific topic or theme, start by defining your focus. This will help keep your central theme clear as you add content, and also highlight connections or concepts that may be related.
Once you have a clear focus, choose a note-taking approach that fits your area of study. You can use a framework such as Rose, Thorn, Bud, or record your ideas based on sentiment or feedback. Finally, record your experiences by adding content such as photos, GIFs, links, or by using sticky notes and drawing features to capture your thoughts and ideas.
The key elements of a journal are the central topic or theme, the note-taking approach that fits the area of study, and the record of experiences related to that topic or theme. By using features like color coding, tags, and filters, the content can be organized into themes or categories, allowing for further analysis and easy reference later on.
Mural is the only platform that offers both a shared workspace and training on the LUMA System™, a practical way to collaborate that anyone can learn and apply.
