The Double Diamond template

The Double Diamond is a simple visual representation of the design and innovation process. It describes the steps taken in any design and innovation project, irrespective of methods and tools used. The Double Diamond was published by the UK's Design Council in 2004 as a way to distill and communicate the design process to non-designers.‍

Refine the brief Use the Double Diamond to question a brief or challenge you were set by a client.

‍Design process Use it to manage your teams' design and innovation process, set miletones with the client, organise your team.

‍Design methods Use it to select and sequence design activities and methods.

‍Retrospectives Use it to review, evaluate and refine a solution once it has been delivered.
