SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Design collaboration software creator MURAL announced today that the latest version of its app is now optimized for Microsoft Surface Hub and Microsoft Surface. With MURAL's digital solutions, Surface Hub and Surface users anywhere in the world can now workshop ideas in real time and prioritize outcomes of collaboration - driving creativity and faster decision making as a result.

To boost the productivity of multidisciplinary teams during any design, thinking, or creative collaboration process, MURAL takes advantage of Surface Hub's large screen and natural, responsive digital inking experience. While Surface Hub displays items like virtual sticky notes, images, links, videos and sketches in large format, MURAL users can draw and rearrange content, and see any changes they've made in real time.

"We take the power of Surface Hub to the next level by allowing teams to collaborate visually in real time, with people in multiple locations and devices," said Mariano Suarez Battan, co-founder & CEO of MURAL. "Our dream is to recreate online the magic that happens when creative teams and individuals collaborate in the same room."

This launch magnifies MURAL's secure, reliable, and enterprise-grade infrastructure. Through MURAL's capabilities, users can start an ideation session on their personal devices, and then move to Surface Hub with all of the content intact and stored in the cloud with Microsoft Azure. The app enables teams to have more focused group sessions by letting people work and contribute to projects at different times of the day.

"We want our customers to have access to the most innovative solutions, so we are pleased that MURAL has joined the roster of native apps for Microsoft Surface Hub and Surface," said Brett Shoemaker, Director, Go-To-Market Services at Microsoft Corp. "We look forward to seeing how our users, including major enterprises and businesses, leverage the additional technological, visual, and multimedia capabilities available through the MURAL app."

MURAL's mission includes enabling enterprises to scale their design thinking culture and innovation, to reach more out-of-the-box solutions and produce world-class experiences. The app, combined with Skype for Business and Surface devices, completes today's highly engaging and productive virtual project room or digital creative workplace.
